CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE AGAIN
Christmas Time is Here Again A publisher asked me to write some Christmas songs in 2009. I ended up keeping them because they just feel too close to my heart. This is one of the first one’s I did. I have had the pleasure of performing this one with the Double Branch Elementary School Choir. It is a favorite of many people as well as mine. The kids sang wonderfully as usual.
Santa won’t you please This is a pop rock piece that my wonderful, magical, daughter Talia sings. It’s about a mildly spoiled kid (not my daughter mind you), who wants to try to make sure that she will get everything that’s on her Christmas list.
On Christmas Recorded with only an acoustic guitar, bass, drums, and a vocal, it is very intimate feeling. If you travel a lot, you know about how important it is to be home with loved ones. It plays like a movie. A favorite of many folks.
Robot Reindeer “Everything was perfect on this Christmas Eve” until Santa heard a big reindeer A-CHOO! He said “The reindeer all have the dreaded flying flu!”. The elves yelled, “We need to make Robot Reindeer!” My wonderful, magical son Tommy and I wrote this one at the dinner table one evening. Tommy does a wonderful job singing this one. We love it! Very fun to listen to for sure. I’m sure you’ll love it too.
The Christmas Song My daughter sings this one beautifully. Yes, it’s the classic by M.Torme and R. Wells, that was made famous by Mel Torme. It’s also called “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”
It’s Christmas Time Again Romantic, nostalgic, and intimate, this one inspired the “look” of the whole CD. The song is about a couple that has a Christmas party, but it feels like it happened in the 1940’s or so. A lovely tune.
We Believe in Christmas Yes, Christmas is about the birth of Christ, but even if it was just about the wonderful, giving, “feel” of the time of year we would have to believe in that too! The kids sing wonderfully on this one as well!
Away in a Manger Recorded with an acoustic guitar, banjo, dobro, cello, etc., this is a “barefoot” version of the classic that has been sung for hundreds of years. It is a duet with my daughter and I doing the singing.
It’s Christmas Time This is an exciting tune that my kids sang back up on. Love it.
Silent Night A dreamy, smoky, darker version of the all time classic. No Christmas record should be with out this one. My daughter sings wonderfully on this one with me.
